A few weeks ago a drunk driver crashed into the front of HUBBUB, a popular gift boutique in my hometown of Centralia, WA. The car smashed the front of the façade and sent the driver to the hospital with serious injuries. Shop owner, Rebecca Staebler, was asleep in her apartment at the back and uninjured.
The outpouring of love and support from the community was gracious and overflowing and soon Rebecca had a temporary shop space opened up in a nearby retail building.
I had to share this inspirational story, especially in light of the strife and division we see in the world today. I petitioned my editor to let me write it up for LewisTalk. She agreed and here it is, freshly published.
If you like it, and I hope you will, please share it with others.
